A Filetta, a Corsican vocal ensemble founded in 1978, has been shaping demanding contemporary polyphony for over 40 years, rooted in oral tradition but resolutely turned towards otherness.
Open to artistic collaboration and nurtured by encounters, the singers build a humanist body of work, far removed from any identitarian withdrawal. Their new album, i balconi, celebrates this openness to the world, exploring the universal themes of love, death, memory and resilience, through uncluttered songs in which the voices are carried by the sole presence of a guitar.
